To push its upcoming mobile OS, Industry is starting off a fresh global pricing plan in the BlackBerry World store.
As described in the RIM post yesterday, the new pricing tiers used in a shop will incorporate currency exchange rates and value-added tax requirements. The thought would be to ensure that app prices stay consistent and competitive around the world.
The brand new pricing tiers will first attain the U.K. and Europe, affecting the British pound and euro. RIM promises it'll reveal updates to other currencies around the world right after the original round.
BlackBerry app developers will not need to take any action, since the updates will be applied automatically. However they will be able to adjust the pricing tier for apps in a country.
